Abstract:
An additive layer manufacturing device according to an embodiment is provided with a nozzle device, an optical system, and a control device. The nozzle device is provided with a nozzle formed so as to be able to provide a powder to a target and to be able to irradiate the target with energy rays, and a supply device that selectively supplies to the nozzle a powdered additive layer manufacturing material that forms a layer that forms an additive layer manufacturing article and a powdered support material that forms a support layer that can be formed on the upper surface of the layer formed by the additive layer manufacturing material. The optical system outputs to the nozzle energy rays that can fuse the additive layer manufacturing material provided to the target and partially fuse the support material provided to the target. The control device controls the amount of additive layer manufacturing material provided and the amount of support material provided and laminates the layer of additive layer manufacturing material and the layer of support material on the target.
