Abstract:
The present invention relates to: [1] an additive for rubbers which comprises a polyester that is a product of polycondensation of an alcohol ingredient and a carboxylic acid ingredient, wherein the alcohol ingredient includes an aliphatic diol having 2-16 carbon atoms in an amount of 85 mass% or larger and the carboxylic acid ingredient includes an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid compound having 2-16 carbon atoms in an amount of 50 mass% or larger, the additive being capable of yielding molded rubber objects which are less apt to deform and are less apt to generate heat upon deformation; [2] a rubber composition comprising the additive for rubbers, a rubber ingredient, and an inorganic filler; [3] a method for producing the rubber composition, the method comprising kneading the additive for rubbers, the rubber ingredient, and the inorganic filler at a temperature of 110°C or higher to obtain a kneaded rubber mixture, thereafter adding sulfur to the obtained kneaded rubber mixture, and mixing the resultant mixture at a temperature not higher than 140°C; [4] a molded rubber object obtained by vulcanizing the rubber composition; and [5] a tire member obtained using the additive for rubbers or the rubber composition or including the molded rubber object.
