Title:
"ADELSHIN" SUSPENSION UNIT FOR A VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1996/015006
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The proposed suspension unit for a vehicle chassis, for example of a sports car, is intended to ensure redistribution of the load on the wheels when the vehicle turns, brakes or accelerates. The suspension unit comprises connecting arms which connect the wheels to the chassis or frame, to which the main spring elements are also connected. The chassis is connected to the frame by moving vibro-impact bearings which transmit force from the chassis to the frame whenever the vehicle turns and centrifugal force or other lateral or longitudinal external forces come into play; this ensures that the load on the wheels is redistributed in the sense that greater load is put on those wheels carrying less load. Incorporation of moving bearings in the linkage between the spring elements and chassis or frame facilitates redistribution of the wheel load by shifting the chassis or frame and forming a pair of impact force components which act in identical or different directions advantageously on the chassis and promote the redistribution of load on the wheels.
