Abstract:
An adhesive composition which comprises (A) a thermoplastic high molecular weight polymer having a functional group in its pendant group and having, in its main chain, no carbon-carbon double bondings having a hydrogen at the allyl position thereof, (B) a water-soluble polymer and (C) a compound having a structure obtained by methylene bonding of aromatic groups having a polar functional group, or which comprises (A) the above thermoplastic polymer and (I) a specific aqueous urethane compound, or which comprises(B) the water-soluble polymer and (I) the above aqueous urethane compound. The adhesive composition is used for coating a resin material, for reinforcing a rubber article, and in a rubber member of a pneumatic tire.
