Abstract:
Provided is an adhesive composition having high shear bond strength, peel bond strength, and impact bond strength, and in particular one able to form a cured article having outstanding bond strength resistance to cold/hot cycles. The adhesive composition is characterized by containing (a) a 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester, (b) a high-molecular weight component compatible with the 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester, (c) a polyfunctional 2-cyano-3-vinylacrylic acid ester, and (d) an onium salt represented by the following general formula (1), the components (a) to (d) being included in predetermined amounts. C+A- … (1) (In the formula, C+ is an onium cation, and A- is an anion that substantially fails to initiate polymerization of the 2-cyanoacrylic acid ester.)
