Abstract:
The present invention relates to an adjustable airbag module comprising: an airbag which comprises a front panel and a rear panel and is inflated with gas injected therein; a plurality of tethers which are vertically spaced apart from each other, and each of which is connected on both sides thereof to the front panel and the rear panel respectively; a communicating and connecting unit disposed in one of the lower portion of the airbag and the plurality of tethers; and an adjustment means which can change the inflated shape of the lower portion of the airbag by selectively releasing the connection to the communicating and connecting unit on the basis of the conditions of a driver or dummy when the airbag is inflated. Therefore, the inflated shape of the lower portion of an airbag where the airbag comes into contact with the chest or abdomen of a driver or dummy when the airbag is inflated can be changed according to the conditions of the driver or dummy.
