An adjustable sound insulation device and a method for controlling sound insulation. The device comprises: a sound insulation body structure (3) configured such that same can be moved by means of being pushed by sound waves; an electromechanical coupling mechanism (4), wherein at least part of the electromechanical coupling mechanism (4) is fixedly connected to the sound insulation body structure (3), and at least part of the electromechanical coupling mechanism (4) is driven by the moving sound insulation body structure (3) to move for the electromechanical conversion of the electromechanical coupling mechanism (4); and a controllable circuit (6), which is electrically connected to the electromechanical coupling mechanism (4) and provides mechanical impedance for the moving sound insulation body structure (3) by means of electromechanical conversion, wherein the controllable circuit (6) can selectively change the electrical impedance, such that the mechanical impedance for the sound insulation body structure (3) can be adjusted. The adjustable sound insulation device can selectively change the electrical impedance of the controllable circuit (6) according to a variable noise source, so as to effectively isolate noise where the frequency spectrum of which changes with a working condition.
