Description:
ADJUSTABLE WALL MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR SANITARY SYSTEM PRODUCT

CONNECTION CHASSIS

Technical Field

The invention relates to an adjustable mounting system that enables the wall mounting of the connection chassis of sanitary system products (toilet, bidet, sink, urinal, etc.).

State of the Art

Rigid chassis systems are available which are carriers for all possible additional loads together with the weight of the sanitary system product and the product, as well as the technical system assembly associated with the sanitary system product for applications where sanitary system products (toilet bowl, bidet, sink, urinal, etc.) are positioned in front of a wall. These systems, which are mounted in front of the wall, are constructed behind gypsum, concrete or wood- derived panels. Rigid chassis are connected to both the floor and the wall, and all loads on the chassis are distributed to the floor and wall in the building volume where the application is carried out.

It is necessary to provide a certain distance between the chassis and the wall according to the details of the project in the majority of rigid chassis applications mounted in front of the wall. This requirement is related to the constructive features of the pre-prepared building installation and building application.

Various methods, apparatus and systems are available to complete the connection between the chassis and the wall by adjusting it at a certain distance in the embodiments of the known state of the art.

A rigid mounting can be made on both the wall side and the chassis side using a threaded dowel embedded in the wall and adjustable/cut length threaded rods, and is a fairly common, economical form of application in the most basic case. However, preparation and adjustment can be time-consuming for the personnel performing the application.

Similarly, there are applications that ensure that these brackets can be fixed with a bolt/nut connection when they provide a certain chassis-wall distance by using sheet-metal brackets on the chassis and wall side. Such a mounting system can be time consuming for the personnel carrying out the mounting, depending on the design details. Examples of such applications are described in patent documents EP1335077 ( FISCHER , 2003), DE3528334 ( GEBERIT, 1985).

Various mounting systems are known that allow the personnel performing the mounting to quickly and easily complete the chassis-wall distance adjustment and fixation within the state of the art. Examples of such applications are patent applications EP0731227 ( DAL GMBH, 1995), EP1260639 ( GEBERIT, 2001), EP1750021 ( OLIVIERA , 2006), EP2752526 OLIVEIRA, 2012), EP3369945 ( WDl , 2017) and EP3428353 ( GEBERIT, 2017).

Patent applications, known in the present art and detailed above, describe connecting systems that have an adjustable mounting relationship with a mounting bracket on the wall side.

Existing systems may be inadequate especially in the application areas where the distance between the chassis and the wall is wide.

The systems created in total can be useless even though the systems involved in the ordinary state of the technique are adjustable. Failure to easily adjust the distance and fix the existing systems can be a disadvantage during use.

Problems Aimed to be Solved by the Invention

The invention aims to create an adjustable and more functional mounting system that enables the wall mounting of the connection chassis of the sanitary system products.

Since the mounting system of the application is operable for different mounting ranges, it can also be used effectively in cases where the chassis-wall distance range is wide. The mounting system of the invention is designed in an easier-to-operate structure. It is much easier to adjust the mounting distance and fix the mounting system in this way.

Since the mounting system of the invention is formed using standard connecting elements, it provides cost advantage.

Description of the Invention

The invention is an adjustable wall mounting system (A) for the connection chassis (C) of sanitary system products (SF): A system that can be used jointly for the wall mounting of connection chassis (C) having different constructive properties for toilet bowl, bidet, sink, urinal and similar sanitary system products is disclosed. The invention is described in our written descriptions and figures within the scope of this document by a chassis (C) carrying a reservoir system, which is a technical installation product for toilets.

In particular, the relatively wide chassis-wall distance (X) adjustment range provided by the invention is important in the mounting of the reservoir system chassis (C), which carries a reservoir system and has a wastewater connection with the building sanitary system.

In order to adjust and fix the chassis-wall distance (X) in the most basic state of the embodiment of the invention;

• the chassis-wall distance (X), the chassis adapter (1) and the wall mounting bracket (3) are provided with movement providing elements for regulating the distance on the adjusting bolt (5), and • the chassis adapter (1) and the locking-fixing elements that fix the position of the wall mounting bracket (3) on the adjusting bolt (5) so that the chassis-wall distance (X) can be fixed,

• the chassis adapter (1), which has space/spaces that allow the adjusting bolt (5) to be passed through by associating it with the chassis (C), and

• wall mounting bracket (3) with space/spaces which allow the adjusting bolt (5) to be passed through by being associated with the wall.

The wall mounting system (A), which is the subject of the invention, consists of the chassis adapter (1) integrated to the chassis (C), sliding lock (2), chassis fixing element (7), chassis fixing nut (8), adjusting bolt (5) on one side and the wall mounting bracket (3), complementary housing (4), adjusting nut (6), wall fixing element (9), wall fixing nut (10) on the other side. The relationship between these groups is provided by an adjusting bolt (5).

An important feature of the invention is that the connecting elements used for adjustment and fixing (adjusting bolt (5), adjusting nut (6), chassis fixing element (7), chassis fixing nut (8), wall fixing element (9), wall fixing nut (10)) are standard connecting elements whose characteristics are determined by international standards. It is possible to create the invention at a very economical cost in this way.

The wall mounting system (A) is positioned at the top of the sanitary system product (SF) and as two sets for balanced connection. The main component associated with the chassis (C) is the chassis adapter (1). The bearing parts of the chassis (C) in the vertical position associated with the wall mounting system (A) are formed by a metal profile of approximately square or rectangular cross-section. The chassis adapter (1) is joined to the top part of the chassis (C) profile by the tight-fitting relationship of the engagement surfaces (1.1).

The flange (1.2) at the top part is joined as a stopper and with the top surface of the profile when the chassis adapter (1) is connected to the chassis (C) profile. There is -preferably- a circular bolt space (C.l) on the front surface of the chassis (C) profile, there is -preferably- a circular bracket space (C.2) on the rear surface. These spaces are concentric with the bolt slot (1.3) of the chassis adapter (1), preferably in circular form. The adjusting bolt (5) is a standard connecting element and a countersunk bolt is preferred, which provides the advantage of alignment on the axis for the preferred embodiment of the invention. The bolt slot (1.3) of the chassis adapter (1) is shaped to accommodate the head of the bolt.

The chassis adapter (1) has a lock space (1.4) in the part of the bolt slot (1.3) and two steps of primary snap-fit slots (1.5) and secondary snap-fit slots (1.6) in the bottom part of the lock space. A sliding lock (2) is placed in the lock space (1.4), mounted with the chassis.

The sliding lock (2) is constructed to formally complement the volume of the lock space (1.4) on the chassis adapter (1) as well as the top flange (1.2) of the chassis adapter. The sliding lock space (2.2) at the approximately middle part of the sliding lock part is a combination of two intersecting spaces, which are approximately circular and have different diameters. At the bottom of the sliding lock part are the snap-fit extensions (2.4) of the chassis adapter in relation to the primary and secondary snap-fit slots (1.5 and 1.6).

The sliding lock (2) part has two positions in the system. Figure 7 shows the free position of the lock feature provided by the sliding lock (2) part. The part of the sliding lock space (2.2) on the sliding lock (2) with a large diameter is concentric with the bolt slot (1.3) on the chassis adapter and the bolt space (C.l) of the chassis in this position. The adjusting bolt (5) passes through the bolt space (C.l), the sliding lock space (2.2) and the chassis adapter bolt slot (1.3), respectively. The head of the bolt (5) fully passes through the sliding lock space (2.2) and fits into the bolt slot (1.3). The sliding lock part (2) is stable in this position thanks to the relationship of the sliding lock snap-fit extension (2.4) with the top level snap-fit slot (1.5) of the chassis adapter.

Figure 12 shows the sliding lock flange (2.1) of the sliding lock (2). Figure 13 shows the lock fixing element space (2.3) of the sliding lock (2).

Figure 8 shows the locked position of the sliding lock (2) part. The sliding lock (2) has been shifted into the system - in the lock space of the bracket (1.4) - and the snap-fit extensions (2.4) have established a connection relationship with the secondary snap-fit slots (1.6) at the bottom level of the chassis adapter in this position. The narrow diameter of the sliding lock space (2.2) partially surrounds the head of the bolt (5) and prevents back and forth movements of the bolt in the axis. The sliding lock space (2.2) is large enough to allow operation with a screwdriver at the head of the bolt.

The chassis adapter (1) accommodates a chassis fixing nut slot (1.7) and a chassis fixing element space (1.8), the vertical center axes of which preferably intersect with the horizontal center axis of the bolt slot (1.3.). The chassis fixing element space (1.8) is preferably a circular section space and is connected to the bolt slot space (1.3) starting from the top surface of the chassis adapter.

The fixing nut (8) is positioned in the chassis fixing nut slot (1.7) of the chassis adapter, preferably by the tight-fitting measurement relationship. The nut (8) and the chassis fixing element space (1.8) are on the same axis.

The chassis fixing element (7) is an element with the same screw thread characteristics as the chassis fixing nut (8). A set screw is used as the chassis fixing element (7) in the preferred embodiment of the invention. The chassis fixing element (7) is ready to compress on the adjusting bolt (5) body by passing through the chassis fixing element space (1.8) and the chassis fixing nut (8). The chassis fixing element (7) will be used to completely prevent the rotary movements of the adjusting bolt (5) around both the linear and its own axis during the wall mounting of the system.

The chassis adapter (1) accommodates a concentric and preferably cylindrical internal space (1.9) with the bracket space (C.2) on the chassis (C). This internal space (1.9) is connected with the bolt slot (1.3) space, the chassis fixing element space (1.8) extending to the bolt slot (1.3) space and the chassis fixing nut slot (1.7) spaces. The chassis adapter internal space (1.9) is a slot for the wall mounting bracket (3), which is the main part of the wall mounted part group. The wall mounting bracket (3) is inserted into the chassis (C) and the chassis adaptor (1) to some extent when applying at relatively narrow chassis-wall distance (X).

It is a design choice in terms of making it possible to mount the bolt slot (1.3), which are the spaces that are opened to each other in the internal volume of the chassis adapter (1), the chassis fixing nut slot (1.7), the chassis fixing nut slot (1.8), the internal space (1.9), the part can be produced by the volume molding method and the other parts it contains, the adjusting bolt (5), the chassis fixing element (7), the chassis fixing nut (8), the wall mounting bracket

(3).

The wall mounting bracket (3) is the main part of the part group consisting of the complementary housing (4), the adjusting nut (6), the wall fixing element (9), and the wall fixing nut (10), which provides the mounting relationship with the structure wall of the system. The approximately square prismatic structural volume (the volume defined by the upright position top surface (3.1) and the horizontal position top surface (3.2)) includes an extension on one side and a preferably open slot-shaped bracket mounting slot (3.9) on the extension. The bracket (3) includes a cylindrical extension (3.6) of the bracket, preferably cylindrical, above the square prismatic structure, and a preferably cylindrical bracket bolt space (3.3), which opens from the center of the extension to the internal volume of the bracket.

The wall mounting bracket (3) contains an adjusting nut slot (3.7), which can be placed with the tight-fitting relationship of the adjusting bolt (5), in the internal part of the bracket and connected with the bracket bolt space (3.3), for the adjusting nut (6), in which the adjusting bolt (5) establishes a screw threaded connection. The slot (3.7) structure of the adjusting nut is fully related to the outer structure of the adjusting nut (6) and does not allow the rotary movements of the nut (6) around its axis.

The adjusting bolt (5) reaches through the bolt space (3.3) of the wall mounting bracket, through the threaded connection of the adjusting nut (6) to the housing step (3.10) and bracket internal space (3.4) volumes of the bracket in the mounted state (Figure 5, Figure 6). The remaining part of the adjusting bolt (5) in the wall mounting bracket (3) is tightened with a fixing element perpendicular to the axis of the adjusting bolt (5) in order to stabilize the mounting after the chassis wall distance (X) adjustment. The wall mounting bracket (3) contains a wall fixing nut (10) and a wall fixing element (9).

A complementary housing (4) part is added to the system in order to position the fixing nut (10) in a fixed position within the bracket and to completely stabilize the position of the adjusting nut (6) on the middle axis.

The complementary housing (4) has an approximately cylindrical body (4.1) structure and a profile (4.3) shaping on the body. There is a cylindrical extension (4.2) and on this extension there is a housing snap-fit extension (4.5) on one side of the structure. The housing (4) has a housing bolt space (4.4) extending along its central axis. There is a housing fixing nut slot (4.6) in which the fixing nut (10) can be placed with a tight-fitting relationship on the body profile (4.3), which forms a flat profile. The housing fixing nut slot (4.6) is connected to the housing bolt space (4.4) with a cylindrical space through which the wall fixing element (9) can pass.

Rotary movements on its axis will not be possible due to the fact that the housing and the bracket internal space (3.4) contain the same body profile (4.3) shape when the complementary housing (4) is placed in the bracket (3) in the mounted state (Figure 7, Figure 8). The housing snap-fit extension (4.5) has a snap-fit connection relationship with the snap- fit space (3.11) of the bracket, thus preventing spontaneous separation of the housing (4) from the wall mounting bracket (3) in the direction of the axis.

The adjusting nut (6) is placed in the volume formed by the housing fixing nut slot (4.6) and the bracket fixing nut slot (3.8) and is in a fixed position. The wall fixing element (9) passes through the bracket fixing element space (3.5) and the gear connection of the fixing nut (10), and after the adjustments, it is ready to fix the adjusting bolt (5) within the wall bracket.

Installation, chassis-wall distance (X) adjustment and mounting completion:

The sanitary system product (SF) is ready for implementation with the wall mounting systems (A) integrated (Figure 1, Figure 4, Figure 5). The chassis-wall distance (X) is at the bottom limit of the measuring range in this position (Figure 5).

The chassis-wall distance (X) is adjusted by means of the adjusting nut (6) fixedly positioned in the wall mounting bracket (3) while the adjusting bolt (5) is turned with a suitable hand tool. Figure 6 illustrates the situation that constitutes the widest measure of the chassis- wall distance (X).

The chassis-wall distance (X) is determined by the type of application of the main sanitary system product (SF). A longer adjusting bolt (5) will be preferred for larger chassis-wall chassis wall distance (X) dimensions. The adjusting bolt (5) is removed from the system or placed in the system by moving the sliding lock (2) to the free position (Figure 7) when it is necessary to change the bolt in the wall mounting system (A) or to connect the disassembled parts groups. The sliding lock (2) is moved to the locked position (Figure 8) and then associated with the part assembly accommodated by the wall mounting bracket (3) and the adjusting bolt (5). The wall mounting system (A) is made ready for adjustment and mounting.

Upon completion of the chassis-wall distance adjustment (X);

- The wall mounting bracket (3) is fixed to the wall with bolts and dowels by marking the wall mounting bracket (3) in accordance with the bracket mounting element slot (3.9),

- As a next step, by tightening the fixing elements on both the chassis fixing element (7) and the wall fixing element (9), high contact pressures are created on the adjusting bolt (5) and the adjusting bolt (5) rotates within the wall mounting system (A) and the mounting is completed by completely preventing the linear movements.

The wall mounting bracket (3) can be positioned and connected to the wall as shown in the figures, or the mounting can be carried out by turning 90° to the right and left. These position possibilities are options related to the needs of the mounting application. The upright position top surface (3.1) or one of the horizontal position top surface (3.2) of the wall mounting bracket (3) will be the same-surface and top surface of the chassis adapter (1). It is possible to make horizontal alignment to position plaster or concrete panels at the top of the sanitary system product (SF) according to the needs of the construction application in this case.

The wall mounting system (A) is formed with four main parts, chassis adapter (1), sliding lock (2), wall mounting bracket (3) and complementary housing (4), except for the standard connecting elements, adjusting bolt (5), adjusting nut (6), chassis fixing element (7), chassis fixing nut (8), wall fixing element (9) and wall fixing nut (10). It is preferred that these parts be produced using plastic raw materials (PA, PBT, POM, etc.) by plastic injection molding. Alternatively, the chassis adapter (1) and wall mounting bracket (3) parts, which do not contain flexible details for snap-fit connections, can be produced by metal alloy injection. The standard connecting element used in the wall mounting system (A), the adjusting bolt (5), the adjusting nut (6), the chassis fixing element (7), the chassis fixing nut (8), the wall fixing element (9) and the wall fixing nut (10) can be selected with different sizes and structures and different structural details. Alternative embodiments of the invention can be realized by shaping the slots of these parts in the same three-dimensional volumes in accordance with the purpose in this case.
