Title:
ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR A DISC BRAKE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/017113
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
An adjustment device (22) for a disc brake (10) is provided, having a movable brake calliper (18) for pressing a brake disc (64) between the brake calliper (18) and an opposing brake calliper (14), an adjustment element (28) which acts on the brake calliper (18) and has the purpose of adjusting an incorrect distance between the brake calliper (18) and the opposing brake calliper (14) which is caused by wear, wherein the adjustment element (28) is embodied so as to be rotatable relative to the brake calliper (18), a ramp system (45) which is formed between the brake calliper (18) and the adjustment element (28), in particular a screwed connection, an actuation element (26) which engages on the adjustment element (28) and has the purpose of moving the brake calliper (18) between a closed position and an open position, an actuation toothing arrangement (46) which is connected fixedly in terms of movement to the adjustment element (28) and a sensing element (50) which can engage in the actuation toothing arrangement (46) via a sensing toothing arrangement (48), wherein in the case of movement of the brake calliper (18) the sensing element (50) can be moved relative to the actuation toothing arrangement (46) by means of the actuation element (26), and after a sufficient relative movement turns the adjustment element (28) relative to the brake calliper (18) in order to adjust the brake calliper (18). As a result of the automatic wear adjustment means, which is easy to implement and is of compact design, for the disc brake, a high degree of maintenance-friendliness is made possible over the service life of a belt drive.
