Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing an adsorbent, which comprises: a cerium loading step wherein trivalent cerium is loaded on a carrier that has a functional group capable of supporting cerium; and a cerium oxidation step wherein the cerium loaded on the carrier is oxidized into tetravalent cerium. Consequently, an adsorbent that has a high adsorption capacity for trivalent arsenic can be produced.
