Disclosed are adsorbent particles including porous carrier particles that contain an organic polymer, polyethylenimines that have adhered to the surface of the porous carrier particles, and diglycolic acid residues that are bonded to amino groups in the polyethylenimines. The most-frequent pore diameter of the porous carrier particles exceeds 10 nm.
