Abstract:
An adsorbent which has higher thermal and hydrothermal resistances than those of adsorbents containing zeolite (aluminum silicate) having an identical or higher Si to (Fe + Al) molar ratio (substantially free from Fe) and, even when exposed to a high temperature, can maintain adsorbing properties. The adsorbent comprises a type $g(b) silicate molecular sieve which contains at least Fe besides H, O, and Si and, when Al is contained, has a higher Fe content by mole than the Al content.
