ADSORBING AGENT COMPRISING ZEOLITE FOR HEAT PUMP AND METHOD FOR PREPARATION THEREOF AND USE THEREOF

An adsorbing agent which exhibits a water adsorption amount of 28 wt % or more at 25°C under a steam partial pressure of 5 Torr and a difference between the water adsorption amount at 25°C under a partial pressure of steam of 5 Torr and that at 100°C under a steam partial pressure of 15 Torr of 15 to 25 wt %; and a method for preparing the adsorbing agent, which comprises subjecting an exchangeable cation in a zeolite to an ion exchange treatment, and then heating the resulting zeolite in a stream of air or nitrogen or in the presence of steam. The above adsorbing agent is advantageous in that it exhibits a great water adsorption amount at an ordinary temperature under a relatively low partial pressure, and also a low water adsorption amount at a relatively low regeneration temperature, and thus exhibits a great effective adsorption amount, and can be suitably used for a zeolite-water heat pump system and an open cycle moisture adsortion-desorption system.
