Abstract:
The present invention relates to a molecular sieve adsorbing desulfurizer for removal of organic sulfides from hydrocarbon liquid streams and methods of making them. The main ingredient of the desulfurizer comprises X- or Y-type molecular sieve modified with lanthanide metal cation of high valence, wherein the X-type molecular sieve have a silica-alumina ratio of 2.2 - 3.0, the Y-type molecular sieve have a silica-alumina ratio between 3.0 and 5.0. The adsorbing desulfurizer of the present invention has the features of high selectivity, large adsorbing capacity, high desulfurizing extent, repeat regeneration and long regeneration period.
