Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an adsorption heat pump having further improved thermal efficiency than conventional ones. [Solution] An adsorption heat pump comprises an evaporator for evaporating a refrigerant, a condenser for condensing vapor of the refrigerant, and two adsorbent heat exchangers in each of which an adsorbent is disposed. The adsorbent heat exchanger has heat transmission piping formed by an inlet-side manifold (31), an outlet-side manifold (32), and a plurality of branch pipes (33) connected therebetween. Between the branch pipes (33), adsorption members (24) each formed by superposing a plurality of adsorbent sheets (24a), pressing plates (36), bimetals (37) are disposed. When the adsorption members (24) are regenerated (dried), a high-temperature heating medium flows through the branch pipes (33), and therefore the bimetals (37) are deformed and press the adsorption members (24) via the pressing plates (36). Consequently, the adsorption members (24) are compressed, the adsorbent sheets (24a) are brought into close contact with each other, and the heat conduction speed between the adsorbent sheets (24a) increases.
