Abstract:
An aerosol generating apparatus and a method for detecting puffs of a user. The apparatus comprises a heater (2), which is used for heating an aerosol generating product (1) so as to generate an aerosol for a user to puff; a power source (3), which is electrically connected to the heater (2), so that the temperature on the heater (2) reaches a target temperature corresponding to each puff of the user; and a controller (6), which is connected to the heater (2). The controller (6) is used to detect the actual temperature of the heater (2) during an operating process of the aerosol generating apparatus, determine a temperature change speed, add 1 to the number of puffs of the user each time the temperature change speed meets a preset condition, and record the number of puffs, wherein the temperature change speed is a change amount of the actual temperature of the heater (2) relative to the target temperature per unit time.
