Abstract:

An aerosol-generating article comprises a filter segment having a channel formed therethrough. An aerosol-generating article according to an embodiment comprises: a front end filter segment which is disposed at an upstream end part of the article, the upstream end part being inserted into an aerosol-generating device; a rear end filter segment which is disposed at a downstream end part of the article, the downstream end part coming into contact with a user's mouth; and a cigarette rod disposed between the front end filter segment and the rear end filter segment. At least one filter segment among the front end filter segment and the rear end filter segment comprises: at least one channel extending toward the downstream end part from the upstream end part; and a filter structure for filtering out partial ingredients contained in an aerosol, wherein the at least one filter segment has a suction resistance corresponding to a ratio between the cross-sectional areas of the at least one channel and the filter structure.
