Disclosed is a device comprising: a battery for supplying power; a heater which receives the power from the battery to heat an aerosol generating material; a sensor; at least one output unit; and a control unit, wherein the control unit detects a puff of a user by using the sensor and controls the at least one output unit on the basis of puff characteristic data on the basis of a detection result.
