Abstract:
The present invention relates to an agar-derived neoagarooligosaccharide composite composition prepared by a dagA enzyme reaction and having anti-obesity and anti-diabetes effects and, specifically, to a composition exhibiting the effects of preventing, treating, and remedying obesity or diabetes by containing as an active ingredient a reaction product obtained from the enzyme reaction of Streptomyces coelicolor dagA and agar or agarose. According to the present invention, the product from the enzyme reaction of the Streptomyces coelicolor dagA and the agar or agarose exhibits excellent anti-obesity and anti-diabetes effects, and thus the administration or intake of the composition can effectively prevent, treat, and remedy obesity and diabetes.
