Abstract:
Disclosed are an ageing-resistant rubber composition and a processing method therefor and the use thereof. The rubber composition comprises: a rubber matrix and complexing components, and in parts by weight, 100 parts of the rubber matrix comprise 50-99 parts of a halogenated butyl rubber, 0-50 parts of a highly branched polyethylene P1, and 0-50 parts of P2 obtained by the modification of the highly branched polyethylene P1 by means of polarization, and the sum of the parts by weight of P1 and P2 is 1-50 parts, wherein the degree of branching of P1 is not less than 50 branched chains/1000 carbons; and the complexing components comprise a vulcanization system. The rubber composition improves the thermal ageing resistance of the halogenated butyl rubber, making same more suitable for a high temperature environment, and at the same time also can improve the properties related to the halogen content of the halogenated butyl rubber, such as the cohesiveness, oil resistance, and flame resistance, by adjusting the degree of halogenation of the highly branched polyethylene used together, thereby overcoming the limitation of the halogen content of the halogenated butyl rubber.
