Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a medicinal agent for controlling and/or preventing cramps induced by hemodialysis, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same. Provided are an agent for controlling hemodialysis-induced cramps comprising as an active ingredient a coenzyme, such as biotin and/or thiamine pyrophosphate, that functions in the citric acid cycle, as well as a pharmaceutical composition containing the agent. The agent for controlling hemodialysis-induced cramps and the pharmaceutical composition effectively and immediately control hemodialysis-induced cramps and also prevent the same.
