Abstract:
Disclosed is an agent for regenerating a deteriorated cooking oil, which has a good deoxidizing capability and is effectively prevented from the elution of a calcium component therefrom. Specifically disclosed is an agent for regenerating a deteriorated cooking oil, which comprises calcium silicate. The agent is characterized in that (1) the above-mentioned calcium silicate has a SiO2/CaO ratio (R') of 1.0 to 6.0 by weight and (2) the above-mentioned calcium silicate has a water content of 12 wt% or less.
