Abstract:
Provided is a method for clarifying and using miRNA that participates in cell aging. An aging marker includes an miR-22 gene transcription product. A method for evaluating an aging inhibitor comprises: a step for measuring the amount of the miR-22 gene transcription product expressed in a sample in the presence and the absence of a compound to be tested; and a step for comparing the amount of the miR-22 gene transcription product expressed in the sample in the presence of the compound to be tested, with the amount of the miR-22 gene transcription product expressed in the sample in the absence of the compound to be tested. A cancer inhibitor contains the miR-22 gene transcription product as the active component, promotes cell aging and inhibits cancer infiltration and/or metastasis.
