Abstract:

An agro-horticultural soil cover film that reflects visible radiation and absorbs infrared radiation, reflecting light needed for growth of plants toward the plant side and absorbing heat-generating infrared radiation to thereby warm soil, and that does not raise the air temperature within a greenhouse. There is provided an agro-horticultural soil cover film having a white light reflection layer containing a white light reflection material and an infrared absorption layer containing infrared absorption material microparticles, characterized in that the infrared absorption material microparticles are composed of tungsten oxide microparticles and/or composite tungsten oxide microparticles, the tungsten oxide microparticles being those of the general formula WO_X (2.45≤X≤2.999), the composite tungsten oxide microparticles being those of the general formula M_YWO_Z (0.001≤Y≤1.0 and 2.2≤Z≤3.0) having a hexagonal crystal structure.
