The invention relates to an agronomic additive to be added to a fertiliser product, the formulation of the fertiliser including urea, urease inhibitors, such as N-(n-butyl)thiophosphoric acid triamide (NBTP), acetohydroxamic acid (AHA), cyclohexyl phosphoric triamide (CHPT), thiophosphoryl triamide (TPT), cyclohexyl thiophosphoric triamide (CHTPT), phenyl phosphorodiamidate (PPD/PPDA), phosphoric triamide (PT), thiopyridines, N-halo-2-oxazolidinone or combinations thereof, and biostimulants, such as amino acids, saccharides, humic or fulvic acids, organic acids, yeast extracts, algae extracts and the like and combinations thereof, wherein the agronomic additive is a compound with biostatic activity selected from among potassium sorbate, potassium propionate, nisin, potassium benzoate and pulcherriminic acid or its iron chelate, pulcherrimin.
