Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an air-bag device capable of reducing the injury value with respect to an occupant by constraining the occupant in a stable posture even at the time of an oblique collision. [Solution] An air-bag device 100 constrains an occupant 132 of a vehicle. The air-bag device 100 is provided with a main bag 112 that expands and spreads at the vehicle forward side of a passenger seat 104, a center bag 114 that expands and spreads inwardly relative to the main bag 112 in the vehicle widthwise direction, and an upper-side joining means 120 which is provided at the upper part of a valley 128 between the main bag 112 and the center bag 114, and which joins the center bag 114 to the main bag 112 across a prescribed range in the vehicle back-and-forth direction.
