Abstract:
Provided are an air blower and an air purifier containing said air blower, with which air from an air outlet can be blown out more uniformly and at high speed, and with which generated ions can be blown out efficiently and far in a room. A first air passage (13A) contains a cylindrical circumferential surface section (131) along the outer circumference of a sirocco fan (12), said circumferential surface section (131) having an opening (131A). A second air passage (13B) contains: a first side surface section (133) that extends from one side of the opening (131A) of the circumferential surface section (131) in the circumferential direction to a direction that is substantially tangential to the sirocco fan (12), and that is connected to part of an air outlet (7); and a second side surface section (134) that faces said first side surface section (133), that extends from the other side of the opening (131A) of the circumferential surface section (131) in the circumferential direction to the air outlet (7), and that is connected to the other part of the air outlet (7).
