Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an air conditioner and a control method therefor, the air conditioner being capable of controlling indoor cooling and humidity by means of a simple structure. The air conditioner of the present invention for realizing the purpose comprises: a first air flow channel which is provided so as to communicate with an indoors; a second air flow channel which is provided so as to communicate with an outdoors; a dehumidification rotor which comprises a first region provided on the first air flow channel, a second region provided on the second air flow channel, and an adsorbent which alternately passes through the first region and the second region by means of rotation and adsorbs moisture in the first region or the second region; a cooling unit which cools air that had moisture removed therefrom by passing through the first region; and a control unit which controls the dehumidification rotor and the cooling unit so that air flowing in the first air flow channel is dehumidified and cooled by passing through the first region and the cooling unit, and the indoor temperature or humidity is detected so that same becomes a preset value.
