Abstract:
Disclosed are an air conditioner and a control method therefor, the air conditioner comprising: a main body; a filter for filtering the impurities flowing into the main body from the outside; a fan for making the impurities pass over the filter and flow into the main body; a sensor for sensing a filter state value for determining the state of the filter; and a processor for determining when to replace the filter if the impurity purification capacity, calculated on the basis of the filter state value sensed by the sensor in real time, is lower than a reference value.
