Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air conditioner comprising: a plurality of units which include outdoor units and indoor units and are distributed and installed on a plurality of floors; and a controller for monitoring and controlling the plurality of units, wherein the controller and the plurality of units each include a communication unit for transmitting/receiving data by a wireless communication scheme. Since the plurality of units of the air conditioner are configured to transmit/receive data by a wireless communication scheme, direct wireless communication between indoor units or between an indoor unit and an outdoor unit is enabled, regardless of the installation environment, the plurality of units of the air conditioner each operate as a node in the process of transmitting data, and the plurality of nodes do not include a routing table and store only information on a parent node and a child node connected directly to each other. Therefore, a routing structure is simplified, so that, even when a plurality of units are included, the installation thereof is easy, a wireless network can be easily deployed, the load of each node is reduced when the units serve as nodes, network traffic of the air conditioner is reduced, and thus transmission efficiency can be improved.
