Abstract:
An air conditioner disclosed herein may comprise: a dust collecting sheet which includes a first electrode and a second electrode opposite to and spaced apart from the first electrode and collects airborne particles; a power supply unit which is electrically connected to the first and second electrodes; and a control unit, wherein the control unit controls the power supply unit to apply a DC voltage to the first electrode in order to perform a dust collecting operation, determines to perform at least one of a first sterilizing operation at a predetermined first temperature for a first period of time and a second sterilizing operation at a second temperature higher than the first temperature for a second period of time shorter than the first period of time, and controls the power supply unit to apply an AC voltage for the first or second sterilizing operation to the first and second electrodes.
