Abstract:
One aspect of an air conditioner according to the present disclosure comprises: a wall-mounted type indoor machine that is affixed to a wall surface, said indoor machine having a heat exchanger, a blower, and a housing that accommodates the heat exchanger and the blower therein; and an electric discharge unit that is disposed upward from the indoor machine on the exterior of the indoor machine. The indoor machine has a first controller that controls the indoor machine. The housing has a suction port that opens upward. The electric discharge unit has an electric discharge device that is disposed upward from the suction port. At least a portion of air suctioned into the suction port passes through the electric discharge device. The electric discharge device is driven on the basis of a signal from the first controller.
