Abstract:
There are provided a configuration and update method for rapidly detoxifying an acid component remaining in an existing coolant piping of an air conditioner of separate type when updating an indoor unit or outdoor unit while using the existing coolant piping. An air conditioner (101) is configured by updating indoor units (4, 5) and an outdoor unit (2) constituting a coolant circuit (10) of the existing air conditioner (1) while using coolant connection pipes (6, 7) constituting the existing air conditioner (1) as existing coolant pipes. The air conditioner (101) includes a coolant circuit (110) after update and a mixer (191) arranged in the coolant circuit (110) after the update. The coolant circuit (110) after the update is filled with refrigerating machine oil containing an acid uptake agent for detoxifying the acid component remaining in the coolant connection pipes (6, 7) and work coolant. The mixer (191) mixes the acid component with the acid uptake agent during refrigeration cycle operation of the coolant circuit (110) after the update.
