Abstract:
An indoor unit (7) for an air conditioner comprising: a heat exchanger (2) that exchanges heat with air taken in from indoors; a fan (1) that discharges, from a discharge port (12) in the indoor unit (7), air that has exchanged heat with the heat exchanger (2); and a partitioning member (31) arranged so as to divide the discharge port (12) vertically. The heat exchanger (2) comprises: a front surface-side heat exchanger (8) positioned on the front surface side of the indoor unit (7); and a rear surface-side heat exchanger (9) positioned on the rear surface side of the indoor unit (7). A pressure drop unit (10) that applies a pressure drop to a coolant that flows to the heat exchanger (2) is bypass-connected between the front surface-side heat exchanger (8) and the rear surface-side heat exchanger (9). When coolant flows to the pressure drop unit (10), the condensation temperature or evaporation temperature becomes different for the coolant for the front surface-side heat exchanger (8) and the coolant for the rear surface-side heat exchanger (9), and, as a result, a temperature difference in the indoor temperature distribution can be precisely generated and convenience can be improved.
