Abstract:

An air conditioner according to an embodiment may comprise: a compressor for compressing a refrigerant; an indoor heat exchanger for converting a gas refrigerant into a liquid refrigerant in a heating mode; an outdoor heat exchanger for converting a liquid refrigerant into a gas refrigerant in the heating mode; a main pipe connecting the indoor heat exchanger to the outdoor heat exchanger; an injection pipe branching from the main pipe and connected to an injection port of the compressor; a main valve installed in the main pipe so as to control the flow rate of a refrigerant flowing through the main pipe; an injection valve installed in the injection pipe so as to control the flow rate of a refrigerant flowing through the injection pipe; and a control unit for calculating an injection flow rate ratio on the basis of the degree of opening of the injection valve and the degree of opening of the main valve and controlling the degree of opening of the injection valve when the calculated injection flow rate ratio does not fall within a predetermined range.
