Abstract:
Provided is an air conditioner muffler that is compact and has little pressure loss. Also provided is an air conditioner equipped with this muffler. The air conditioner muffler is equipped with: a cylindrical muffler main body having at the inlet side and the outlet side a reduced-diameter section with a smaller inner diameter than a central section; an inlet pipe connected to the inlet reduced-diameter section of the muffler main body; and an outlet pipe connected to the outlet reduced-diameter section of the muffler main body. The inlet pipe is inserted into the muffler main body with the tip end of the inlet pipe positioned at the center position of the length of the muffler main body from the inlet to the outlet, and of the inlet pipe inserted into the muffler main body, the inner diameter of the tip-end side is smaller than the inner diameter of the inlet pipe on the upstream side from the tip-end.
