Abstract:
This air conditioner for a railway vehicle comprises: a compressor which compresses a refrigerant; a condenser which condenses the compressed refrigerant; an expander which expands the condensed refrigerant; an evaporator which evaporates the expanded refrigerant; and refrigerant piping for connecting the compressor, the condenser, the expander, and the evaporator. One among the condenser and the evaporator is an indoor heat exchanger, and the other is an outdoor heat exchanger. A main body part (330) of at least one among the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger has a laminated structure in which plate-shaped heat transfer members (310) formed in plate shapes and fins (320) are alternately laminated in the thickness direction of the plate-shaped heat transfer members (310). A plurality of refrigerant flow paths (311) through which respective refrigerants flow are formed inside of the respective plate-shaped heat transfer members (310). The plurality of refrigerant flow paths (311) are arranged in the direction through which air passes through the fins (320).
