Abstract:
Disclosed is an air conditioner refrigerant filling method by which an optimal amount of refrigerant can be accurately and quickly filled. In the air conditioner (1) refrigerant filling method, by which a specified amount of refrigerant is filled into a closed cycle refrigerant circuit (3) connecting outdoor equipment (10) and a plurality of indoor equipment ((11) to (16)) via refrigerant pipes (2), the length and diameter of the refrigerant pipes ((2A) to (2M)) connecting between the outdoor equipment (10) and the plurality of indoor equipment ((11) to (16)) disposed on each floor of a building (40) are specified within a range that can be reliably measured or estimated, and the minimum amount of refrigerant necessary in said air conditioner (1) is calculated on the basis of said length and diameter, whereby, once the additional amount of refrigerant has been prefilled, the refrigerant is automatically filled using an automatic refrigerant filling function until the specified filling amount is reached.
