Abstract:
The flow of refrigerant during a defrosting operation of an outdoor heat exchanger is configured in the same direction as the flow of refrigerant during an indoor heating operation; the outdoor heat exchanger comprises multiple rows of heat exchangers having multiple refrigerant flow channels; in the multiple rows of heat exchangers, inlets of the refrigerant flow channels are provided to an area on the upwind side of the air flow during the indoor heating operation and outlets of the refrigerant flow channels are provided to another area; the multiple refrigerant flow channels are connected so that the number of refrigerant flow channels increases from the inlets of the refrigerant flow channels toward the outlets of the refrigerant flow channels, and the number of refrigerant flow channels in the area of the inlets of the refrigerant flow channel inlets is fewer than the number of refrigerant flow channels in the other area.
