Abstract:
There is provided an air conditioner capable of suppressing the liquid back to a compressor and suppressing generation of unpleasant coolant sound for a user. The air conditioner (100) includes a coolant circuit having a compressor (10), an outdoor heat exchanger (14), a first in-room expansion valve (5a), and a first in-room heat exchanger (3a). The air conditioner (100) further includes a hot gas bypass circuit (13), a hot gas bypass circuit open/close unit (25), and a control unit. The hot gas bypass circuit (13) connects the intake side to the discharge side of the compressor (10). The hot gas bypass circuit open/close unit (25) is arranged on the hot gas bypass circuit (13) so as to open/close the hot gas bypass circuit (13). Upon start of the compressor (10), the hot gas bypass circuit open/close unit (25) is opened, and the coolant humidity condition at the intake side of the compressor (10) is judged. According to the judgment result of the coolant humidity state, the hot gas bypass circuit open/close unit (25) is closed.
