Abstract:
Provided is an air conditioner which can be realized both as an embedded-in-ceiling
type and as a suspending-from-ceiling type. The air conditioner (1) includes
a casing (2), an air blowing fan (3), and a heat exchanger (5). The casing (2) has
an intake opening (26a) and a lower blow-out opening (26b) at the lower surface
and side blow-out openings (22a, 24a) at the side surface. The casing (2) also
has air passes (S) from the intake opening (26a) to the lower and the side blow-out
openings (26b, 22a, 24a). The casing (2) may be covered with a cosmetic panel (11)
for the embedded-in-ceiling type. The cosmetic panel (11) has an intake opening
(11a) and a lower blow-out opening (11b) formed to communicate with the intake
opening (26a) and the lower blow-out opening (26b) and is mounted so as to cover
the lower surface of the casing (2). Alternatively, the casing (2) may be covered
with a cosmetic panel (15) for the suspending-from-ceiling type. The cosmetic
panel (15) has an intake opening (61a) and side blow-out openings (62a, 64a) formed
to communicate with the intake opening (26a) and the side blow-out openings (22a,
24a) and is mounted so as to cover the lower surface and the side surface of the casing
(2).
