Abstract:
A technique in which, even if external power supplied to an indoor unit is shutoff, the
indoor unit can perform appropriate control for other indoor units. An air conditioner
of the invention has indoor units (1) controlled by an outdoor unit. An indoor
unit (1) has a main control section (11) for centralizedly controlling operation
of the indoor unit (1), a communication section (12) for communication with the
outdoor unit, an external power detection section (13) for detecting that external
power (EV) supplied to the indoor unit (1) is shut off, and a backup power source
section (15) for outputting backup power source (VBAT) supplied to the communication
section (12) when the external power source (EV) is shut off. In the indoor unit
(1), when the external power detection section (13) detects that the external
power (EV) is shut off, the communication section (12) informs the out door unit
that the external power source (EV) is shut off.
