Abstract:
An air-conditioner having a coolant circuit constituted by use units are connected
to a heat source unit and capable of performing heating operation by refrigeration
cycle operation in which the high-pressure side exceeds the critical pressure
of the coolant. An excessive increase of the discharge temperature of the compressor
due to a coolant liquefaction phenomenon is prevented, and coolant flow noise
produced in a use unit whose heating operation is at rest is suppressed. From the
coolant temperature and the pressure in the use unit whose heating operation
is at rest out of the use units, the amount of liquefied coolant, i.e., the amount
of coolant staying in the use unit whose heating operation is at rest is computed.
According to the amount of liquefied coolant, the use-side expansion mechanism
of the use unit whose heating operation is at rest is controlled.
