Abstract:
To solve the aforementioned problem, an air conditioner is constructed so as to be equipped with: a dehumidification means that removes moisture contained in the air; a blowing means that sucks in the air in a room and passes the air through the dehumidification means, and blows the resulting dry air into the room; a humidity detection means that detects the humidity in the room; a temperature detection means that detects the temperature in the room; and a control means that controls the dehumidification means and the blowing means on the basis of the detection results from the temperature detection means and the humidity detection means. The control means is able to perform an operation whereby only the blowing means is operated for a prescribed period of time to perform a blowing operation prior to operating the dehumidification means to perform the dehumidification operation.
