Abstract:
An air conditioner (1) performs high pressure control by way of modifying the rotational speed of an outdoor fan (36) during cooling operation. With high pressure control, the rotational speed of the outdoor fan (36) is modified in accordance with the pressure relation, at prescribed control time intervals, between the high pressure and target high pressure. Even if the outdoor fan (36) is dropped to the minimum rotational speed during high pressure control, when the high pressure during cooling operation cannot be maintained above the target high pressure, fan duty control, which sets the rotational speed of the outdoor fan (36) to a pseudo-rotational speed that is lower than the apparent minimum rotational speed, is performed by controlling the outdoor fan (36) so that operation and stoppage occur at least once within the control time interval at a prescribed rotational speed that is at least the minimum rotational speed.
