Title:
AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/050334
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An air conditioner is configured so that the airflow volume is not reduced by the striking of cold air, which flows from a blower fan, against an auxiliary vertical airflow direction plate. An air conditioner (1) is provided with: a blower fan (3) which is disposed in an airflow passage leading from a suction opening (13) to a discharge opening (14); a vertical airflow direction plate (6) which is rotatably supported near the discharge opening (14) and which extends along the longitudinal direction of the discharge opening (14); and an auxiliary vertical airflow direction plate (7) which is rotatably supported above the vertical airflow direction plate (6) and which extends along the longitudinal direction of the discharge opening (14). The upper wall section (15) of the airflow passage has: a first upper wall section (16) which is sloped forward and downward; and a second upper wall section (17) which is disposed in front of the first upper wall section (16) in such a manner that the airflow passage expands. In the air conditioner (1), during cooling operation, the auxiliary vertical airflow direction plate (7) is disposed further toward the second upper wall section (17) side than a plane extended from the first upper wall section (16).
