Abstract:
The present invention addresses the issue of audio announcements being annoying in air conditioners that automatically make audio announcements about prescribed information on the basis of the operation state or the environmental state. This air conditioner has: an audio announcement unit (41) (audio announcement means) that makes automatic audio announcements of prescribed information on the basis of the operation state or the environmental state; a setting means that sets whether or not to permit automatic audio announcements by the audio announcement unit (41); and an audio announcement prohibiting unit (42) (audio announcement prohibiting means) that prohibits automatic audio announcements by the audio announcement unit (41) if a setting has been made by the setting means to prohibit automatic audio announcements by the audio announcement unit (41).
