Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an air conditioner that is capable of improving the heat exchanging performance if a plurality of heat exchangers are used in series as a condenser. This air conditioner is provided with a refrigeration cycle that sequentially connects a compressor, a four-way valve, an indoor heat exchanger, a refrigerant flow-rate control mechanism, and an outdoor heat exchanger to circulate a refrigerant. The indoor heat exchanger and/or the outdoor heat exchanger has a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger that are connected in series, and also has a bypass flow passage that branches off between the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger and is joined between the second heat exchanger and the refrigerant flow-rate control mechanism. If the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger function as a condenser, the refrigerant flows into the second heat exchanger after passing through the first heat exchanger and the liquid refrigerant that has been condensed in the first heat exchanger bypasses the second heat exchanger via the bypass flow passage.
