Abstract:
Provided is an air conditioner that is capable of storing a surplus refrigerant while coping with a change in the installation environment. The air conditioner (200) is provided with a refrigerating cycle circuit (100) in which a compressor (1), an outdoor heat exchanger (3), a depressurizing device (6), an indoor heat exchanger (7), and a refrigerant storing unit (5) are connected to each other via refrigerant piping, and is capable of switching between a heating operation and a cooling operation. A switching means is included which switches the position of the refrigerant storing unit (5) between a location between the outdoor heat exchanger (3) and the depressurizing device (6) and a location between the indoor heat exchanger (7) and the depressurizing device (6).
