Abstract:
Provided is an air conditioner which determines the mounting position of an infrared sensor and matches a wind direction control vane and a temperature detection area. An air conditioner (50) is equipped with: a cabinet (1); a square decorative panel (2) installed so as to cover an opening (14) in the lower surface of the cabinet (1); four blowout ports (4) around a suction port (13); a wind direction vane (5) capable of adjusting angles of each of the blowout ports (4) individually; an infrared sensor (6) capable of detecting the floor temperature of each of circumferentially-divided four regions (A); and a control device (16). The infrared sensor (6) is mounted to any one of corners (C) of the decorative panel (2) so as to be oriented in varied directions depending on the corners (C). The control device (16) controls the wind direction vane (5) so as to blow out airflow from one of the blowout ports (4) and performs the operation. The control device (16) determines (D1) the mounting position of the infrared sensor (6) from the divided region (A) where the difference in floor temperature between before the start of operation and during operation is a specified value or more, the position where the wind direction vane (5) is disposed, and the mounting direction of the infrared sensor (6), and matches the divided region (A) where the difference in floor temperature is the specified value or more and the wind direction vane (5) to be controlled.
